This hand harvested, old vine Primitivo from the heart of Manduria is a beautiful example of what Primitivo should taste like. With a well rounded palate and notes of wild berries both fresh and jammy woven into hints of vanilla and spices. A mixture of both French and American oak gives this wine both finesse and structure. Whether sat in the heart of Puglia or the heart of rainy Manchester, this wine will be sure to make your tastebuds tingle!!

The Primitivo grape, which is named Zinfandel in the USA, possibly reached this part of Italy 2,000 years ago on ships from the Dalmatian coast, of what is now Croatia. After a controlled fermentation, the wine is aged in a mixture of French and American barriques for at least ten months, prior to final blending and bottling
