Grenache, Mourvedre - 2017
Barossa Valley, Australia
Rose, Fruits, Delicate
ABV: 11.5% Vol: 75cl
Strawberries, Cream with Delicate Aromatics
Forget Granny and her sickly sweet, viscous Rose….The Chaffey Bros are bringing you their delicate and light Rose. This Grenache led blend has notes of strawberries and raspberry then into a great structure with whispers of spice helped on by the Mourvedre. Finished with a splash of the aromatic German varietals to develop that strawberry and turkish delight nose. This is definitely an Aussie summer in a bottle and our summer has got a case in the fridge ready and waiting!!

The Nerdy Bits...
Made as a true rosé, each vineyard is picked with a view to retaining natural acidity and relying on the ancient vines to supply ample flavour despite the early harvest. Each vineyard will see between 6 - 18 hours skin contact, which during this early ripeness imparts only modest colour to the blend. Cold fermented in a temperature controlled inox fermenter using a combination of indiginous and selected yeasts to develop and protect delicate aromas. As a stylistic choice,no fining agent is used throughout the winemaking process and only minimal SO2 is added prior to bottling.
