Here we go again ladies and gents, the Grape to Grain LIVE tastings continue apace!!! Tom and Baz...and sometimes Jen come to you LIVE....from Prestwich!! Tremendous wines, matched cheeses and a whole load of fun..In In is the new Out Out...Until we can be In whilst Out...shakin' it all about!
Our Thursday, Friday and Saturday tastings start at 8pm :)
We are teaming up with a Nell's Pizza, a mob of wandering pizza wünderkind, some pure nomadic kneaders who are bringing out a range of Bake At Home pies, its launching TODAY, the 4th of March, so we figured we would gang up and smash out a #ThursdayWine classic...#PizzaWine. We are going for the proper whompable classics, Italian reds that you can sink on the sofa after a rough Thursday (or any day, let's be honest)...
This Bake At Home pie is slightly different to classic style slices, its a NY Grandma Pie. Super slow 72 hour fermented dough, same toppings, just square and with a slightly thicca base. The first pizza will have OG Cheese and will be JUST LIKE NONA USED TO MAKE. More flavours are incoming in the next few weeks too.
We will be exclusive stockists in North Manchester, but other amazing gaffs like the General Stores in Ancoats and Media City and Bernie's Grocery Store in Heaton Moor and Stretford, will stock them, so no matter where you are you'll never be too far away from a stupidly good Mcr made pie!
The wines are delivered to your door as will one of the amazing new Grandma Style Pizza Pies and we then taste it together online, we will be live streaming on Facebook LIVE and of course on Zoom too!! Banging wines and 2 pillocks hosting...or 2 pillocks and Jen...
The 'portions' are 100ml 'Tasters' and 500ml 'Carafes' or the imperious 'Full Bottle'. If you order a 2 x 100ml tasters, you'll get a whole pie, if you order a single portion you'll STILL get a full sized pie because...pizza...! The Carafe's and Full Bottles will get 2 pies each. Pick the right size for you, your budget and how many guests you have.
All these are subject to change...but...here's the lineup!
- First up is the Fantini Farnese Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (veg).
- Next the Corte Giara Bardolino (ve) made by our pals at Allegrini.
- Finally Cappello di Prete 'Rosso del Salento' from Puglia (ve).
Serious wines, for (not very) serious folk...Should be an absolute spanker!!
