This will be genuinely be a tasting for the ages...we often say 'Once In A Lifetime Juice'  and, whilst we never use the phrase lightly, and we have certainly been lucky enough to try some breathtaking stuff with you all...the truth is none can compare to what we have planned tonight.

We are taking a tour of the finest appellations in La Belle France - Burgundy, The Rhone and Bordeaux and tasting and tasting top shelf, glorious examples of the finest these regions have to offer. We are tasting these 4 incredible wines as close to cost price as we can to make sure we can get as many folk onto the tasting...i don't know what else to say really...I'm kind of in shock thinking about what we are going to enjoy together!!

The wines are delivered to your door, with matched cheeses and we then taste it together online, we will be live streaming on Facebook and Instagram LIVE and of course on Zoom too!! Banging wines and 2 pillocks hosting...or 1 pillock and Barry...

The 'portions' are 100ml 'Tasters' and 500ml 'Carafes' or the imperious 'Full Bottle'. Pick the right size for you, your budget and how many guests you have.

Without further ado...here are the wines for this week;

 - We start off with Burgundian royalty, the creme de la creme...Domaine de L'Enclos ‘Les Clos’ Chablis Grand Cru (2018). We have tried 1er Cru Chablis with you before, so whats the difference? Well to be a Grand Cru, the highest honour in Burgundian wine classification the fruit can only come from just 7 small vineyards...Les Clos is one of them. Superb balance and concentration with an elegant purity of fruit!
 - Next up is another Burgundian masterpiece, this time Pinot Noir from the HEART of the Côte de Nuits, Vosnee-Romanée. The ‘Les Orveaux’ Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru (2018) by Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is our second stop, and its a lifechanger. This wine is deep ruby in colour with aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants and raspberries. Robust and richly perfumed with both a silky and rustic character, it is fresh yet mellow and supremely well-balanced.
 - Thirdly we head straight south, to the Rhône. The Rhône is home to some of the worlds finest appellations, from Chateauneuf-du-Pape to Gigondas and from Condrieu to Crozes-Hermitage. Arguably the finest is Côte Rotie, famous as a unique blend of Syrah (red) and Viognier (white). We will be tasting the
Domaine Barge ‘Côte Brune’ Côte-Rôtie (2014). This wine has aromas of violet, spices, dark fruit and black olive that follow through on the palate. The wine is full-bodied, with excellent structure and balance with a lifted, spicy finish.
 - Finally...We finish on a Bordeaux blend, however whereas previously we have focussed on Cab heavy appellations (Margaux and Pauillac notably) tonight we go Merlot heavy with the Château Petit-Village Pomerol (2014)! From the same appellation with gives us Chateau Pétrus, this wine is deep ruby red in colour with an expressive, complex nose with notes of black fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is extremely precise and the tannins are firm but refined and velvety.

Serious wines, for (not very) serious folk...Should be an absolute spanker!!
