  • Regular price £20.00

Here we go again ladies and gents, the Grape to Grain LIVE tastings continue apace!!! Tom and Baz...and sometimes Jen come to you LIVE....from Prestwich!! Tremendous wines, matched cheeses and a whole load of fun..In In is the new Out Out...Until we can be In whilst Out...shakin' it all about!

Our Friday and Saturday tastings start at 8pm :)

This week;

We always say wine doesn't have to cost the world to be delicious and this tasting is designed to prove our point! In these crazy and uncertain times, with folk living paycheck to paycheck, a £30 bottle of fire juice isn't always a luxury everyone can afford...these wines are 100% #TuesdayWine - guilt free whompers that give you plenty of band for your buck!

Now 'bang for your buck' doesn't ALWAYS mean the cheapest, but they always massively overdeliver. It could mean extra wine making, old vines or limited release but they don't break the bank and are the perfect choice for any occasion.

The wines are delivered to your door, with matched cheeses and we then taste it together online, we will be live streaming on Facebook LIVE and of course on Zoom too!! Banging wines and 2 pillocks hosting...or 1 pillock and Barry...

The 'portions' are 100ml 'Tasters' and 500ml 'Carafes' or the imperious 'Full Bottle'. Pick the right size for you, your budget and how many guests you have.

 All these are subject to change...but...here's the lineup!

- First up...Rafael Palacious ‘Louro do Bolo’ Godello from Galicia. The ‘Louro do Bolo’ is made from small parcels of Godello with an average age of 25 years, grown at over 600 metres above sea level. It has intense aromas of citrus fruits, wild mountain flowers, hints of fennel and flinty nuances. On the palate, it is fruit-forward supported by a taut, saline minerality and a textural complexity.

- Next up is the ' Les Chiens' Catalans Rouge Carignan/GrenacheA deep cherry red with burgundy highlights. Slightly smoky on the nose, the grenache adds it's trademark black berry flavours and a hint of garrigue whilst the Carignan gives this vibrant colour, lovely tannins and fresh acidity. Cranberry, strawberry and raspberry are evident as well as subtle notes of floral notes such as rose petal and violets. Excellent length and tannins.

- We finish on sugar and spice and all things nice with the Tenute Rubino NegroamaroAn intense, smooth and charming wine. Fruity and spicy on the palate, it combines its structure with balanced acidity and well-defined tannins. Intense ruby red, with persistent and intense blueberry, blackberry and black cherry fruits. Soft, harmonic and velvet smooth tannins.

Serious wines, for (not very) serious folk...Should be an absolute spanker!!
