This week;

What are New Licks i hear you ask??? Well we get lots and lots of wine come across our desk every week, some average, lots good and some exceptional!! These 4 wines are the latter...brilliant juice that have been burned in the fiery crucible of the Sauce Subscription, Enomatic or team tastings and rock our little socks off! They're so good, we want to taste them with you all!!

The wines are delivered to your door, with matched cheeses and we then taste it together online, we will be live streaming on Facebook and Instagram LIVE and of course on Zoom too!! Banging wines and 2 pillocks hosting...or 1 pillock and Barry...

The 'portions' are 100ml 'Tasters' and 500ml 'Carafes' or the imperious 'Full Bottle'. Pick the right size for you, your budget and how many guests you have.

Without further ado...here are the wines for this week;

 - We start off with an Austrian beauty, the Erich Machherndl 'Smaragd Kollmutz' Gruner Veltliner! Aromatic and perfumed with orchard fruits and balanced acidity. Green, vibrant and no oak to distract from this zippy, lively wine!
 - Next up is a Catalonian blend of Xarel-lo, Garnacha, Chardy and a touch of Macabeu the Ca N'estruc 'Idoia Blanc'. 5 months in oak give layers of complexity overlaying tropical fruit and brioche. Opulent, savoury and nutty with great weight.
 - Third we have another e-spanish veeeno, and actually another wine from Catalunya - the 'El Cabronet' Cabernet Sauvignon from Penedes. Aromas of raspberries, vanilla, delicate oak and hints of chocolate with notes of liquorice on the fruity finish.
 - Finally...We finish on a spicy boi with some really interesting cépage, from the Languedoc in South West France its the Chateau de Fontarache ‘Picapolle’ Corbières. With 70% Piquepoul Noir (wut??) and 30% Carignan (aka Mazuelo x) it is fragrant with layers of bright, black fruit laced with a hint of liquorice and sage. The palate is supple with expressive blackberry fruit and a long, fresh finish

Serious wines, for (not very) serious folk...Should be an absolute spanker!!
