Black Cow Deluxe Cheddar is made from the milk of cows that graze the fields surrounding our farm in West Dorset. Aged for 12 months in thick black wax, the cheese has an incredibly intense and rich flavour, not to mention a satisfyingly crumbly texture.
To experience The Whole Milk, pair a slab of Black Cow Deluxe Cheddar with a measure of our Pure Milk Vodka. We make cheese by separating milk into curds and whey. The curds make our Deluxe Cheddar, and the whey makes our exceptionally smooth Pure Milk Vodka.
Dairy farmer Jason set up Black Cow with artist and director Paul Archard back in 2012. As a member of the Barber family, a family of cheesemakers with over 180 years of cheesemaking history, Jason knows a thing or two about making cheese.
