Who/What/How:
-
The Tribaut-Schloesser Champagne House was established in 1929 by René Schloesser and Lucie Coutelas. It began as a small operation. Around 1000 bottles were produced anually and René would cycle the bottled Champagne to the local station where they were sent on and sold in Paris. Now, the fourth generation of the family keep it alive, on a much larger scale.
Taste:
- The Champagne Tribaut Brut NV is fresh and fruity, with powerful notes of pear and yellow plum. It also possesses 20% oak aged reserve wine to give it a delicate wood flavour and more complexity. Then, 24 months of lees ageing adds texture and subtle notes of brioche.
