The Columbia Valley blend is made from numerous vineyard plots, resulting in a complex, layered Chardonnay. Malolactic fermentation followed alcoholic fermentation to add richness and complexity, and the wine was blended with 35% tank fermented Chardonnay for a fresh style. The wine rested on its lees for over six months in a mix of French and American oak barrels (35% new) with regular stirring to soften the wine and integrate fruit and oak flavours. Cool-climate Chardonnay from Washington State, soft with sweet citrus and red apples, uplifted by a fragrant scattering of spice.
