Chardonnay - 2018
Mornington Peninsula, Australia
White, Creamy, Textured
ABV: 13% Vol: 75cl
Peaches, Honey and Buttery Finish
A real elegant Chardonnay, Burgundy style but without the Burgundy price tag!! Harvested within the Mornington Peninsula, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation in French oak barriques and 9 months aging on the lees. The outcome is a symphony of toasty notes, white peach and citrus and hints of vanilla and honey, then followed by a creamy, buttery texture. Why not treat yourself!

The Nerdy Bits...
The Kooyong vineyard is located on the Mornington Peninsula at Tuerong, on Miocene sedimentary soils. The wines are made from domain grown, handpicked grapes and aim to manifest terroir: the integration of our geology and soils with the macroclimate of our region, the mesoclimates of the various sites within our vineyard and the weather of the annual grape growing season. The grapes are gently whole-bunch pressed directly into French oak barriques (7% new) where fermentation commences spontaneously with ambient yeasts. After fermentation, the wine is aged on lees (without battonage) for 9 months. It is bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
