Henschke was established in 1868 and has continued to produce wine through six generations of family grape-growing. Today, the sixth generation are all actively involved in the family business.
Taste:
- The Mount Edelstone vineyard was planted in 1912. Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz comes solely from those 102 year old single-vineyard Shiraz grapes, before being matured in 92% French oak and 8% American oak. It was first released in 1952 and has come to be recognised as one of Australia's greatest Shiraz wines, boasting an array of complex and concentrated flavours. A wine of the highest quality.
