Cabernet Sauvignon - 2014
Barossa Valley, Australia
Red, Oaked, Intense
ABV: 13.5% Vol: 75cl
Blackcurrants, Spice with Structure
This wine is seriously not messing around, the retail price of this wine does not reflect the quality of the juice is the bottle. It’s easily worth twice that!! This Barossa Valley Cab Sauv undergoes aging in a mixture of French and American oak, giving it strong notes of blackcurrants, sweet spice and chocolate. The Hahns have really outdone themselves with this one!
P.s please be aware that this wine will need decanting as there is often a lot of sediment build up due to several years of bottle age, you don’t want to be filtering it out with your teeth!!
Tastes Like: Australia Doing Some Bits!
Smells Like: Value For Money!!
Sounds Like: Santeria // Sublime

The Nerdy Bits...
The Cabernet Sauvignon fruit comes from the winery’s home block vineyard, planted in 1979 on red clay soils over a limestone base, on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Hand-harvested, the wine is aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels before being blended.
