This week;

Its been a long time coming...but we are finally knocking on the door of the REST OF THE WORLD OF WINE! Drops of joy from the far corners of the wine world that you most likely have never tried, or even considered before! Georgia, Israel, Uruguay and Japan!! 2 whites and 2 reds to expand your mind maaaaaan!

The wines are delivered to your door, with matched cheeses and we then taste it together online, we will be live streaming on Facebook and Instagram LIVE and back on Zoom too!! Banging wines and 2 pillocks hosting...or 1 pillock and Barry...

The 'portions' are 100ml 'Tasters' and 500ml 'Carafes' or the imperious 'Full Bottle'. Pick the right size for you, your budget and how many guests you have.

Without further ado...here are the wines for this week;

 - We are stating off with the Segal 'Levant' Judean Hills Colombard from Israel. Un-oaked from chalky soils which sit at 800-1000m in the Judean Hills. This bright wine has fantastic energy and zesty acidity. Ripe pears and tropical fruits!
 - Next up is a wine from JAPAN!! The Chateau Mercian Koshu Gris de Gris from the Fuefuki District in Central Japan just north of Mount Fuji. 3 weeks skin contact and 8 months in oak give us a really interesting textural wine!
 - Third is a Georgian wine, Teliani Valley Glekhuri Kisiskhevi Saperavi Qvevri....We shall just call it the Teliani Velley Qvevri Saperavi!! The home of wine to many, Georgia has shot back to fame recently for being the root of Orange wine a fav of the natty kids. The Qvevri is a traditional large earthenware amphora and all this 100% Saperavi wine gets fermented and aged in them. only 6500 bottles produced each year!!
 - Finally...We finish on a big, BIG wine - The Bodega Garzòn Reserve Tannat from Uruguay! Deep purple in colour, with aromas of plums and raspberries and just a hint of spice. On the palate, this is a full-bodied wine, with mature tannins complementing the dark juicy fruit and mineral notes. Striking and powerful.

 Serious wines, for (not very) serious folk...Should be an absolute spanker!!
