Fruit-filled, beautifully balanced Pinot Gris from Waipara on New Zealand's South Island, offering a mouthful of honeysuckle, sweet pear and stone fruit and a beguiling creaminess on the palate. Great with pork dishes, especially a slow roasted pork belly or asian cuisine that is lightly spiced.
The grapes were hand harvested. Pressing was whole bunch with only the free run and lightest of pressings used. Traditional 100% barrel fermentation in old French oak with extended lees contact and stirring. After a period of 12 months in barrel the wine was fined using natural products and carefully filtered for bottling.
