Brand: Villa Raiano
Grapes: Falanghina
Vintage: 2023
ABV: 13%
Who/What/How:
- Villa Raiano is a family-run operation in the broader Italian region of Campania, which includes the city of Naples. The foundations of the original cellars, which were established in 1996, come from an old oil mill in the village of Raiano.
Taste:
- All the grapes are harvested manually and transported to the cellar in small boxes. This is done to avoid crushing the berries. They are gently pressed in whole bunches which helps to really accentuate the fresh and fruity flavours. These include white grapefruit, citrus zest, mandarin and apricot. You'll also note subtle aromas of hazelnut and white flower on the nose.
