- Blank Canvas is a collaboration between Master of Wine Sophie Parker and her award-winning winemaking consultant husband Matt Thomson. They seek out small-batch wines from exceptional single vineyard sites across New Zealand. This particular example coming from a coastal portion of the much acclaim Marlborough region.
Taste:
- Blank Canvas McKee Vineyard Grüner Veltliner is an absolute delight that manages to retain the acidity and pepperiness of this classic Austrian grape variety, while turning the fruit flavours all the way up in typical New Zealand style. 60% of the Blank Canvas McKee Vineyard Grüner Veltliner has also been aged in oak to add some texture and further complexity. Look out for intense notes of orange, white pepper, apricot, peach, pear and lychee. This one is a real staff favourite.
