Who/What/How:
- A Mano is an operation that puts quality at the forefront of everything they do. Mark Shannon and Elvezia Sbalchiero have been taking Primitivo and many other Italian classics to new heights by sourcing only the finest grapes possible and focusing on using those grapes to craft new and innovative styles of this much loved grape variety, as well as other native varieties.
Taste:
- Ad hoc shading and relief irrigation were employed by the winemakers for this vintage, as high temperatures and drought hit the vineyard. Yet, they persevered and came out with a top quality wine that maintains balance and acidity, in spite of the heat. The wine is particularly aromatic showcasing notes of bouquet garni, violet and blossom. Then, bitter dark chocolate mixes with ripe notes of blackberry and blueberry on the palate.
