Who/What/How:
-
The first orange wine to be presented (and initially rejected!) for a DO accreditation. Now it is still one of the very few orange wines from Rioja. It is the joint venture of two entities. One is Bodegas Navarrsotillo's Serrano family who grow the organic and biodynamic grapes. The other is Ruth and Ana de Andrea. These sisters select grapes and process the wines.
Taste:
- Binario Skin Contact Garnacha Blanca comes from vines between 20 and 40 years old which really imbues the wine with a concentration and intensity of flavour which can't be matched in many other 'natural' wines. We hesitate to call this a 'natural' wine. This is a proper wine, that happens to have been made in a natural way.
