Who/What/How
- J'NOON is a joint venture between Kapil Sekhri of Fratelli Vineyards, (Akluj, India), and Jean-Charles Boisset of Boisset Collection, (Burgundy, France). The wines look to introduce quality Indian wine to the world stage. While wines from India may be somewhat uncommon in the UK, J'NOON have managed to create some exceptional wines with a real old-world character and familiar taste.
Taste:
- The vines which produce this wine sit at 600 metres above sea level. This helps to mitigate the hot Indian temperatures and allow for a slow ripening process, which means they produce deeply concentrated flavours. This interesting blend really showcases the characteristics of each grape variety. The Chardonnay endows the wine with notes of green apple, white pear and stone fruit, while the Sauvignon Blanc announces itself with flavours of lime, lemongrass and other herbaceous notes.
