Who/What/How:
- Nieto Senetiner is a winery with over 130 years of tradition behind it and they really began to take off in the second half of the twentieth century after new vineyards and wineries were acquired and developed in 1969. They have regularly updated their resources and begun to establish themselves as a true force to be reckoned with, within the world of the Mendoza wine region.
Taste:
- The grapes are sourced from 43 year old vines in the Luján de Cuyo region which were some of the first to use the Bonarda grape in this region. This provides the wines with powerful flavours of violet, tar, blackberry, sour cherry and plum. The wine has then been aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. This adds body, texture and some spiced notes of liquorice which persist into the finish.
